- Srila Gurudeva glorified Gopi-gita from Srimad Bhagavatam as the heart of Krsna.
- How the gopis criticized the creator for creating eyelids and separation from Krsna is explained through the 15th verse of Gopi-gita 'atati yad bhavan ahni kananam': When you go off to the forest during the day, a tiny fraction of a second becomes like a millennium for us because we cannot see You. And even when we can eagerly look upon your beautiful face, so lovely with its adornment of curly locks, our pleasure is hindered by our eyelids, which were fashioned by the foolish creator.
- The gopis remember how beautiful Krsna looks when going to Raman Reti in the morning with the cows.
- Krsna used to take cows for grazing in Vrndavana. This duration felt like three months to the residents of Vrajavasis but felt like many yugas to the gopis. Srila Gurudeva explained that the intensity of separation depends on the relationship with the person. That is why the gopis felt this way, due to their relationship with Krsna. They were displaying the symptoms of Mahabhava.
- The gopis say: Day, evening, and night, it is very hard to get darsana, so please come at once or we will die.
- They say that meeting and separation both make them suffer. Brahma is very foolish, as Krsna's brief darsana is obstructed by their eyelids.
- The gopis who were stopped by their relatives from going for the rasa dance; Krsna appeared in their hearts, and all obstacles were burned away. Srila Gurudeva narrated the 16th verse of Gopi-gita -'pati sutanvaya bhratr bandhavan': Dear Acyuta, you know very well why we have come here. Who but a cheater like you would abandon young women who come to see Him in the middle of the night, enchanted by the loud song of His flute? We have completely rejected our husbands, children, ancestors, brothers, and other relatives just to see you.
- Meaning of te’nty acyutagataḥ: The gopis say, “O Acyuta (infallible one), You have disappeared from our vision. You have failed in the matter of showing Yourself to us. Thus, is the name Acyuta not contrary to Your deeds?”
- Krsna asked the gopis why did you come to Me then? Gopis replied, It is You who has called us, We did not come here of our own accord; we did not desire to come. You are the reason for our coming here.
- Meaning of 'gati-vidas tavodgita-mohitah': It is not that You played Your flute by the will of providence. You did so deliberately, with full knowledge of all the consequences. You knew that we would be irresistibly attracted by Your flute-song and that surely we would be unable to stop ourselves from running to You.”
- Krsna asked the gopis: If you know My intentions and My nature, then why have you come?”.
- Gopis told Krsna they had disobeyed their Gurujana and come to Krsna of their own free will; Krsna calls them foolish, but the gopis tell him he is much more foolish; he is the biggest cheater but he is also being cheated because the gopis are like cintamani and he is throwing away this cintamani.
